Mainstream Modeling Requirements:

What follows are a general set of requirements for mainstream modeling. These requirements vary by market and by company. I called only two major modeling agencies to get their requirements. (Ford and Elite) These are two major/top ten agencies with offices in different modeling markets, The major US modeling markets are NY, LA, Chicago, and Miami! I called these agencies and visited their Websites to try to get a better idea of people to target when I am out recruiting! I don't work for either agency!

General Requirements

Age requirements varied from 14-22! Height requirements were Women 5'9"-5'11," and Men 6'-6'2," but again the LA market might go to 6'3" for men only.

Markets contacted were NY, LA, Miami, and Chicago.

Modeling Websites!

You can pay One Model Place, Model Locate, Talent6, or any other Website to host images for you! These places have photographers who will be more than happy to charge you to take pictures of you! Will they ever get you a break or even try to get you a break with a major modeling agency? The answer is NO! All they want you to do is waste your time and money to put pix up on their Websites! You are truly "CRAZY," if you think that major agencies even look at these Websites! Major agencies accept e-mailed images and hold open calls to find their models! I know this for a fact because I called these agencies! I have been kicked off of all kinds of modeling sites for trying to get models to go to legitimate agencies for real auditions! Do you know why? I've told you why! They want you to pay them to host your images! Your images stay on a Website and someone is making tons of money off of advertising and all kinds of image hosting! Do they offer paid assignments, yep! Photographers will pay you to take your clothes off, so they can take your pictures! Is there money in this? Yes, but do you want to get paid for this, or do you want to be a model?! Real agencies may get you assignments for lingerie and even nude modeling, but it won't be a one time offer! Real agencies provide real work to qualified models both men and women! It's fine if you want to keep wasting your money by just paying someone to host your images, but if you want real work, go with an innovator in Digital Imaging! Enough said!

Reitz Digital Imaging Requirements:

I judge all models mainly by their facial features. For my personal projects there is an age requirement of 12-30 and no height requirement! I look for faces, but your height and weight should be proportionate. If it isn't, join me on the bike trail for one summer and we'll get it there! All models must sign liability waivers and service contracts on a per assignment basis and must provide me with a copy of their ID to prove their ages! All minor models must have liability waivers, permission slips, and service contracts signed and resign liability waivers and service contracts for themselves after turning 18! Parents of minor models must provide copies of their ID and their child's ID for my records! There are no exceptions to my paperwork rules!

My requirements are somewhat flexible! I hate tattoos! If you want to be a model and have tats, wait until you are too old to model and then get your tats! Because I don't set the requirements for the two major agencies that I have contacted, I have no control over them! If you want to discuss a shoot, or what to do to start or further your career in modeling, fill out a contact form! I will call you within 24 hours of receiving your form! I'm very honest and open about my calendar projects and what I can and can't do to assist potential models! Fill out a form and I'll call you to arrange a face to face interview to discuss your future in modeling!
